This is the 7th annual Detroit Tequila Festival. We are a fun tequila sampling event with over 70 tequilas to sample from.
You will receive drink sample tickets upon arrival, along with a map telling you what tequilas are at each table. You simply go to the table you want to sample and the nice volunteers will pour you your sample.
All ticket purchasers receive 10 drink sample tickets.
We must abide by the Michigan Liquor Laws.
Tequila samples that are poured neat or on the rocks are .5 oz.
Tequila samples that are in mixed drinks (margaritas, palomas, etc) are 3 oz
Beer is 3 oz
Doubtful, this event sells out every year well before the day of the event.
For VIP ticket purchasers doors open at 6 pm
For GA ticket purchasers doors open at 6 pm
Last pour stops at 9:45 pm
The event ends promptly at 10 pm for all ticket holders
Yes, there is a difference.
VIP tickets include an extra hour to enjoy the quieter atmosphere, special tequilas to sample and a welcome cocktail.
Both tickets receive 10 sample tickets, commemorative take home glass and live music.
Yes, DD tickets are available at the door the day of the event. All DD ticket purchasers must accompany a VIP or GA ticket purchaser.
Sorry, no refunds. However, you can give your tickets to a friend if you would like.
No, food is not included in the price of admission, however, there will be plenty of food trucks on site to purchase food from.

Only products made in the Mexican state of Jalisco and in small areas of four other states –Nayarit, Guanajuato, Michoacan and Tamaulipas – can be legally called tequila.

Only the product distilled from Blue Weber Agave can use the name “tequila.” It’s kind of like champagne. Only sparkling wines made in France’s Champagne region, and made with the “methode champagnois,” can legally be called champagne in the EU.
Ultimately, Tequila is defined by where it’s from and what goes in it. But not all tequilas are the same.
